  • Device Identifiers: Pseudonymous identifiers (like an App Instance ID) that Google generates and are not linked to a user's identity.

  • Technical Information: Device type, operating system, and region (general, non-precise location).

Important Note on Identifiers: We do not use User IDs, nor do we attempt to connect the pseudonymous identifiers from Firebase Analytics with any personal information. All data is aggregated and anonymous.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear about what we do not collect:

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any information with other third parties for their commercial purposes.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the crash and usage data collected through Google Firebase:

  • Data is transmitted using secure, encrypted connections.
  • Google Firebase maintains industry-standard security practices.
  • Data is retained only as long as necessary to diagnose issues or analyze trends.

However, please note that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

  • Crash Data (Crashlytics): Typically retained for 90 days, after which it is automatically deleted.
  • Usage Data (Analytics): Retained in accordance with our Firebase Analytics settings. We ensure this data is retained for the minimum period necessary for analysis, typically 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted.

7. Children's Privacy

Night Light Assistant is designed for users aged 4 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 4. The anonymous crash and usage data we collect through Google Firebase cannot be used to identify individual users of any age.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child under 4 has used the App, or if you have any concerns about our data practices regarding children, please contact us immediately, and we will take appropriate action if necessary.

8. Your Rights

8.1 Access and Control

Since we do not collect personal identifiable information and all collected data is anonymous and aggregated, there is no personal data for you to access, modify, or delete individually.

8.2 Opt-Out

You may choose to opt-out of Firebase Analytics collection (but not Crashlytics, as it is essential for app maintenance) by using the following methods:

  • Device Settings: You may be able to disable analytics collection through your device's operating system settings (e.g., "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android, which can sometimes impact general analytics).
  • Uninstall: If you prefer not to have any data (crash or usage) collected, the only definitive option is to uninstall the App from your device.

8.3 Regional Rights

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR and CCPA. Since we do not collect personal data, most of these rights are not strictly applicable. However, we are committed to compliance. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
